Startline Motor Finance are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer focussed individual into the role of a Collections Analyst. Joining a newly formed team reporting into the Collections Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the development and success of the business as you use a customer centric approach to manage and control arrears cases.

Key Activities:

• Treating each customer as an individual, understanding their circumstances through effective questioning and agreeing appropriate solutions to meet the needs of the customer and the company
• Manage and control arrears cases bringing the customer’s agreement up to date
• Use effective communication to ensure accurate recording of information whilst adhering to Data Protection GDPR requirements
• Follow all compliance procedures in line with FCA regulations in respect of collections activities
• Complete income and expenditure assessments and where appropriate use negotiation skills to advise on suitable, affordable and sustainable repayment plans
• Display a strong telephone manner with the ability to build rapport and communicate whist negotiating positive outcomes
• Maintain up to date knowledge of current Operational and Compliance policies and guidelines by attending Startline training sessions or external training as required, along with up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative changes.

Skills, Experience and Qualities:

• Previous experience working within a Collections environment is essential
• Able to demonstrate working knowledge of TCF principles
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required
• Attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
• A positive mindset with continuous improvement
